What are the preparation methods of calcined zinc oxide?
There are many ways to prepare calcined zinc oxide, the following are some commonly used methods:

Direct method: direct reduction of zinc-containing raw materials (such as zinc oxide, zinc ore, etc.) at high temperature to generate zinc vapor, and then react with oxygen to generate zinc oxide. This method is divided into direct method and indirect method. The direct method has coarser zinc oxide particles and lower purity, while the indirect method has finer zinc oxide particles and higher purity.
Wet method: Zinc carbonate is prepared by leaching, removing impurities, and distilling ammonia from zinc-containing raw materials (such as zinc oxide, zinc ore, etc.), and then calcined at high temperature to form Zinc oxide. This method has high product purity, but the process is complicated and the cost is high.
Electrolysis method: Zinc is melted in an electrolytic bath, and Zinc oxide is generated through an electrolytic reaction. This method has high output, but consumes more energy and costs more.
Chemical method: use chemical reaction to convert zinc compound into zinc oxide, such as reacting zinc sulfate or zinc chloride with sodium hydroxide to form zinc hydroxide, and then heat and decompose to form Zinc oxide. This method has high product purity, but the cost is relatively high.
